General description
Sulfoglycolipids are a family of lipids which can be found exclusively in the cell envelope of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. Diacylated sulfoglycolipid (Ac2SGL), a potent antigen, consists of a trehalose 2’-sulfate core which is acylated at the 2 and 3 positions.
