DESCRIPTION
β-Mannosyl phosphomycoketide is a glycolipid found in the cell wall of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium and is a potent antigen for T cells. Its lipid tail is fully saturated and contains five methyl branches, all in (S)-configuration.
MPM alkyne is additionally functionalized with an alkyne at the end of the lipid tail. The alkyne allows for a wide range of functionalizations using click chemistry, enabling many different applications, such as surface functionalization.
